Which Bengaluru Police Station Jurisdiction Are You In? Find Out Here.
If you are reading this, something has likely gone wrong. Whether it was a phone snatching, an accident, or any other incident, the first hurdle is often figuring out exactly which police station has jurisdiction over the spot where it happened.
Bengaluru’s police zones are complex, and boundaries often sit right in the middle of major intersections. To help you find the right station immediately, I have created a custom Google Map based on the official government KML file. Source

So if your incident has occurred on the Ecity highway towards Koramanagala, you need to go to Ecity PS or Begur or Bommanahalli, but if it has happened on the other side of the road, the jurisdiction lies with either Parappana Agrahara, HSR or Bandepalya PS
Why I Built This: The “Four Zone” Problem
About four months ago, my brother was sitting pillion on a Rapido near Electronic City late at night when his phone was snatched. It’s a traumatic experience, and the first thing you want to do is report it.
However, we quickly ran into a frustrating roadblock: Jurisdiction.
Electronic City and its surrounding areas (like Begur, Parappana Agrahara, and Bommanahalli) meet at complex intersections. We knew we had to go to the police, but after checking online, we couldn’t find a definitive resource that told us which one
In a moment of crisis, the last thing you want is to be sent from one station to another because “this area doesn’t fall under us.”
From Government Data to a Simple Tool
Driven by that frustration, I went looking for a solution. I eventually found a government portal that provided raw KML files (geospatial data) for police zoning. While the data existed, it wasn’t “human-friendly” or easily accessible
I processed those files and imported them into a Shareable Custom Google Map.
My goal for this blog is simple: to make sure no one else has to spend hours guessing which station to visit. If you are at a crossroad—literally—this map will tell you exactly where to go.
What to do next?
Once you’ve identified your station using the map above, here are a few tips:
- The KSP App: For lost items (like a phone where there was no physical violence), you can often file an e-Lost report via the Karnataka State Police (KSP) app.
- Emergency: If it is an ongoing emergency, always dial 112.
- Reach out: If you find any discrepancies in the map or if a zone has been updated, please let me know so I can keep this resource accurate for everyone.
I hope you never need to use this map, but if you do, I hope it makes a difficult night a little bit easier.
Appendix
PS – Special thanks to the team at Electronic City PS. Absolute professionals! We finished our paperwork, filed the report on KSP app – the 3 star officier even offered to go for a patrol to visit the incident spot. They guided us on how to block the IMEI, register in the central repository. Kudos to them.
